| 12-01-07 Five Posse members using three Posse vehicles assisted Elko County Sheriff's deputies in a search west of Nevada State Route 93 between Wells and Jackpot. A Utah family had reported a member missing and his last know point was Wells Nevada. He had been in the area for several days and traveled between Wells and Jackpot. We searched the roads in O'Neill Basin and on the east flank of the Jarbidge Mountains. Nothing was found and the Sheriff decided to halt all search activities until better clues to place of disappearance could be determined. |
| 10-24-07 The Posse was activated to search for two over-due hunters in the Bull Run - Mountain City area. A hunting partner reported that two of his party were three hours overdue and he had concerns. Posse members were deploying when dispatch called code - 4 and the hunters had returned to the camp. |
| 10-21-07 Five Posse members responded to a father and son caught at about the 10,000 foot elevation in the Ruby Mountains, in a blinding snowstorm. We had a fairly accurate location (verbal as well as GPS coordinates) that was given to 911 by the lost subject in a brief moment of good cell phone service. The Posse responded with two full-time deputies and arrived on scene about 2 hours before dark. Searchers located the subjects and had them back to the base station just at dark. No one had to spend the night in the elements. |
| 10-7-07 Put on alert to help rescue hunters in the Jarbidge area who had become isolated by a recent snow storm. The individuals were able to free themselves before rescuers could arrive. |
| 10-7-07 Searched for a lost hunter south east of Tuscorora. He became lost when after his truck became disabled and he took the wrong fork in the road when walking back to his camp. The wrong fork took him several miles from his camp. He walked all night and found a ranch hand who brought him back to the search party at about 10:00. The search was just about to begin when he appeared. |
| 7-22--25-07 Provided security for road closures along the Gold Creek road, during the Murphy Fire. |
7-7-07 Called by Elko Sheriff's department to assist the Washoe County Hasty Team to search and recovery for drowning victim at Wildhorse Reservoir. Victim was located at about 14:00 and recovered at about 15:30. |
| ------- Provided the County with security services for a suspected arson fire. Services were dismissed when fire officials arrived on scene. |
