newsletters, training, our mission statement and a "back room" for Posse members only.  Members can see the latest roster and have access to other reserved information.
Our site is in its infancy and will mature with the help and input of all Posse members.  Now that the framework is in place, it will be easy to update, upgrade and modify the site to a very useful tool.  It is the Posse's web site and everyone's' input is, not only welcomes, but essential.
Your webmasters will be uploading images and information that the entire cyber world can potentially view.  Posse members should let either Ekburg or Childs know if we post any personal information or images they wouldn't want on the WWW.

Spring is on the way, ya'll! Our days have been colored a boring grey to white for the last several weeks, but that is about to change, spring is on the way.  This spring will be one of our most memorieable in the past several years.  Mountains and meadows will be filled with flowers and other floral finery,  and the resevoirs will be filled to the brim for the fishermen.  Dust off your cameras and buy some fresh film.
We have finally entered the computer age, the Posse is on-line! Find us at
www.ecsposse.org .  Commander Grisham gave us permission -and more importantly, a check- allowing us to create the web page.  Ekburg and Childs are the webmasters.
As you peruse the site you will see it is orgainzed to provide information two-fold; we are publically promoting the Posse while creating a new form of communication within our group.
The front page says the following:

The Elko County Sheriff's Posse is a non-profit organization that operates at the pleasure, and under the direction of the elected Elko County Sheriff. Each member is a sworn peace officer trained in law enforcement as well as in search and rescue, (SAR) skills. Members provide security services within Elko County, as well as providing the Sheriff's department with advanced search and rescue services.
Our web site is new, but over the next several months, it will grow into an unlimited resource of search and rescue, and law enforcement information.
If your interests lie in search and rescue, or law enforcement, return to our site often and watch it grow!

The site will have a page(s) for security, SAR,
