Welcome to Northeastern Nevada K-9 Search and Rescue’s home page. Northeastern Nevada K-9 Search and Rescue (NNVK9SAR) was established by an all volunteer group in September 2006 to provide qualified and professional canine search and rescue (SAR) services to public service entities, other search and rescue organizations, and to private citizens, in search for injured and/or missing persons.

NNVK9SAR’s goal is to maintain the highest qualifications of education and training by providing information and educational opportunities to its membership through in-house training and access to professional search and rescue institutes.

NNVK9SAR sustains itself through donations, sponsors and fundraisers. Money garnered by these efforts is used to purchase training and qualification. All K-9’s belong to individual members as well as does their personal search gear.

Although several NNVK9SAR teams are close to certifying as professional search teams, we presently have no deployable k-9 search teams. Our goal is to field several k-9 search teams in the near future.
